Our 2 Day Gorilla Trekking Safari in Volcanoes National Park takes you to Volcanoes National Park for magical encounters with the Gorillas. It starts and ends in Rwanda.
You will be picked up on arrival by our safari guide and transferred up to your hotel in Kigali City. If you arrive early in the morning, you can drive straight to Volcanoes National Park after the Kigali city tour.
Day 1: Transfer – Volcanoes National Park
Early in the morning, have your delicious breakfast, check out and meet our guide for a city tour around Kigali. After the city tour, have lunch and transfer up to Volcanoes National Park.
The drive to Kinigi takes about 2-3 hours. You will arrive in the evening, check-in at the lodge and relax. Accommodation options include:
Budget: Muhabura Hotel
Mid-range: Le bamboo/ Da Vinci Lodge or Gorilla Solutions Lodge
Luxury: Mountain Gorilla View Hotel.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trek – Transfer back to Kigali
Have morning breakfast, after transfer up to the park headquarters for the briefing conducted to highlight trekkers about Gorilla trek. Make sure to come with packed food and drinking water for the trek.
After briefing, you will be transferred up to the starting point. The Journey to the Jungle starts in search of the Gorillas. Only one hour is allowed while in their presence, after descending back for a transfer to Kigali. End of Safari in Rwanda.
